Disneyland

Keep in mind this trip was not to take cook pictures of Disneyland, although, I would LOVE To make a trip for that. I didn't tak my good camera. I just took the Sony. I wanted to be able to capture a few memories. If I took my good camera, I would be too tempted to capture Disneyland, not my family having fun :)

But with that said, I managed to get a few nice shots

The Christmas lights were AMAZING! If you've never been to Disneyland at Christmas time, I highly recommend it(go on a weekday)

Willow Creek, Bass Lake CA

From Fresno we traveled another hour or so to Bass Lake. These pictures are taken on two different hikes along Willow Creek. It was so pretty, and relaxing. You know what I'm talking about, the cool, clean air. The sound of the wind in the trees, the fresh smell and the sound of the running water *sigh* So nice! These are a few of my favorites.

Underground Gardens Fresno, CA

Jonathan and I had the chance to get away this weekend - just the two of us. Our first stop, Fresno to see the underground gardens. We recommend it, it's easy to get to and quite impressive.

They get visitors from all over the world

The Forestiere Underground gardens were dug by one man over 100 years ago. If you'd like to read his story and see visitor info, go Here. He lived down there - it was much cooler. If you live close , go see it, you won't be disappointed. We toured with the Black Sheep bikers who came from San Jose, just to see the gardens. (not great for little kids though)

Grapes growing around a sunroof to let light in for the plants to grow.

Keep in mind, all of these photos are from underground, as far as 25ft

Picture time!

Teresa had school pictures at school, and usually we take pictures of her before the school ones. But she's getting old enough that all the pictures look nice, so this year we'll wait and see how the school ones come out. But Nathan doesn't go to school. So it was time to try and get a good shot of him. Which is very difficult, seeing as how he doesn't stay still for more than 2 seconds at a time. He actually did pretty great. I asked if I could take some pictures of him and let him to his thing, while snapping a zillion pictures :)
These are my favorites to frame. I have some other fun goofy ones I'll post on the family blog :)

Which do you like best?

I cropped the last one to an 8x10 and then a 4x6

This is a picture I'm proud of. I love the aperture effect. I had just recieved a new lens and was anxious to play around. I love that it captured so much of my son's personality.

A Memory

This is in response to the gallery prompt on Sticky Fingers. The prompt is A Memory. I didn't know what I was going to do until today. Thinking of memories I have of a loved one who passed away Sunday. It seemed suitable to post pictures of a memory we share, our family reunions. We have had many reunions, as far back as I can remember. It just happens the last one we had was a super fun Geocache that this dear uncle set up for us. Such a close family, and this year another reunion is planned for November, but before we meet for Thanksgiving we will all be gathering Wednesday morning to say good bye to this amazing man.
This is my aunt(his wife) my uncle, a cousin and my dad singing - another tradition at the reunions
My uncle talking with his big brother(my dad)
These were take 2 years ago after his first stem cell replacement and chemo
The pictures aren't very high quality, it was dark, so a high ISO was needed.
