Good tips

I just came across this list and it's pretty good, it's a little lengthy, so if you aren't serious you might not get through all of it.

Movie Star!

These are two of my favorite pictures I've take of Nathan in the past month. I especially love the glasses. They are actually 3-D glasses from seeing "Meet he Robinsons"

Super Cute Boys!

Happy Birthday Ian

These are two of my favorite pictures I got at Ian's
Birthday Party on Sat. Ian was so sweet to share his
cake with Nathan. They were super cute!

Some Sample pictures

This one was taken with the macro mode on the camera
(My day lily out front) I love this one

This is just an outdoor action picture of Nathan

And here is one of Teresa inside with no flash.
The colors are a little orange, but it is pretty orange in my
house. So for not using flash it's about as good as it gets.
If I raise the ISO too high I will get a super grainy picture. I think
this one was taken at ISO 800, so it's already pretty high.

Here's the same picture with a little fixing with software

My newest Camera

In order to accomplish my goal of becoming a better photographer I needed a camera I could carry with me all the time. I don't really mind taking my Canon Rebel XTi places, it's an awesome camera. But I'm afraid if I cart it everywhere something will happen to it and it's not the kind of camera you can whip out of your purse on the fly. So my search began...

At first I was looking at those ultra-compact digital cameras, thinking, of course, those will fit anywhere and be easy to "whip out". But after actually holding them, I decided a credit card with a lens was not for me. The other problem were the controls. I wanted to have a lot of manual control. So I guess I was looking for a mid-sized advanced point and shoot that wasn't going to cost a small fortune and had a decent zoom.

The results...

The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC H10!!! It's awesome!

I have manual control, if I want it. (plus a ton of preset modes)
Oh, and as I change the ISo or the shutter speed or the f stop it shows me the change in the picture, which is awesome and will help me understand that stuff better

It's small enough to fit in my purse (a little bigger than my wallet) But big enough I can hold it and feel like I am actually holding it, not pinching it in between my fingers, hoping I won't shake - AT ALL

It has a 10x optical zoom(which is really good, btw)

And 8 mega pixels, but that wasn't nearly as important as everything else

There were a lot of great camera's out there, some with super duper zoom, but no manual controls. And some with manual controls and very slow shutter. So this is the camera for me. I'm really excited and as soon as the battery charges again I'll post some pictures I took. They aren't awesome artsy or anything, but they'll show you the quality.

Special Spot

I'm just creating a special spot to put my fun pictures.

You know, the ones of the flags at a cool
angle...

or sometimes you get that perfect shot of innocence and curiosity

My goal is to become a better photographer!
Plain and simple, which means a lot of photos need to
be taken. I will post the ones I like the most.
